About Us

Rydings  College is an independent, preparatory and College, boarding and day school for boys and girls in Mashonaland West, Zimbabwe. The school is situated on an estate 7km north-west of Karoi at the 209km peg along the Harare – Chirundu Road.

The school stands as an unmatched architectural masterpiece which resembles revered Victorian structures, a tourist attraction on its own. The school is surrounded by a scenic natural environment and is home to a rich diversity of wild animals that include sable, kudu, eland, giraffe, and zebra among others. Rydings offers students a broad curricular that is focussed on bringing the best out of each child. Rydings College is a vibrant and growing institution that has managed to stay true to its founding goals during the course of a long and distinguished history

A brief history

Founded in 1983, Rydings Primary school, opened for the first time at the beginning of the first term in January 1983. The Headmaster, Humphrey Tate, and a full complement of eight qualified teachers welcomed 80 boarders and 68-day scholars. In 2015 Rydings Primary grew to become Rydings College. Rydings now has an awesome Junior and Senior school that encourages bonding amongst siblings. The two schools are in close proximity and nurture siblings to tolerate and love one another.
